“Learning the Latin Mass” - Talks on the Liturgy: Feb. 17th at 6:00 PM in Hopkin's Hall.
In a series of talks, Canon Gardner will explain the ceremonies and spirituality of the traditional Latin Mass with special emphasis on the practical question of how to follow along and fully participate.
When: Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. throughout Lent.
Where: Hopkins Hall.
The main entrance to Hopkin's Hall (and handicap entrance) can be found on Cayuga Street. If accessing from inside St. Mary's Shrine, the stairwell to Hopkin's Hall is found on the front lefthand side of St. Mary's to left and in front of the Sacred Heart side altar.
The talk on February 17th is “The Prayers at the Foot of the Altar.” Psalm 42, “Judica ma,” prayed at the beginning of most Masses in the traditional Liturgy, as well as the prayers and ceremonies of Holy Mass until the Introit, will be discussed.
