St. Mary of the Assumption Parish is a Personal Parish dedicated to the Extraordinary form of the Mass and celebration of the Sacraments. On August 15th, 2021 the church for the parish of St. Mary of the Assumption was elevated to the status of being designated as the Syracuse Diocese's first Shrine.  On June 11th 2025, the Syracuse Diocese entered into an agreement with The Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest setting up a priory at St. Mary's Rectory and providing a Rector for St. Mary's Shrine and a Pastor for St. Mary of the Assumption Parish (Canon Edward Gardner - both Rector and Pastor).

 We invite you to come and visit historic St. Mary's Shrine and receive the graces extended to all those who come on pilgrimage.  You are also welcome to register as a parishioner here if you attend regularly.  Our regular Mass schedule allows you to find either an Extraordinary Form (Latin) Mass or an Ordinary Form (English) Mass that will allow you to fill your Sunday Mass Obligation or desire to attend daily Mass. We also offer weekly Eucharistic Adoration and Confession times and invite you to come experience the great peace that can be found through spending time with the Lord.

At St. Mary of the Assumption Parish & Shrine we encourage great devotion through praying the Rosary, offering Brown Scapular Investitures, offering regular Confession, and reverently and frequently attending Holy Mass together. We also serve the Lord by linking hands and hearts with many events that joyfully support our parish and the greater community.
